Linda is experienced in brand creation, management, srategic marketing planning.  She got her basic training in direct response at People, Time and Sports Illustrated.  With further work overseas, and in Time Inc. New Media, Time Warner Telecommunications and NetAhead Solutions, she has researched, launched and managed businesses in E-Commerce, retail, direct marketing. 

  • Started NetAhead Solutions in 1997

  • Startup, branding, management of high-end E-Commerce retailer TrueRenu

  • Launched Time Warner's first telecommunications business, through branded retail stores and direct response television.  She created the brand position, name - "On Air" - the  logo, advertising strategy and launch events along with sales collateral, store merchandising and signage and all PR and media coverage.  The business proved viable within 6 months of launch, capturing one third of all new adds in the test market.

  • Member of Time Inc.'s first corporate team selected to develop the company's Internet strategy.  Linda was among the first to advocate Time Inc. become an ISP and leverage it's pre-existing expertise in content, advertising, customer acquisition and retention.

  • Broadened magazine advertising business by including direct marketing programs in advertising packages. This was a key driver of increased commitments from large national accounts.  Linda used the company's database to identify and target likely prospects for advertisers like Audi, P&G, Mazda and Merck.

  • Managed consumer marketing activities for national magazines Sports Illustrated, People and Time International (based in Amsterdam, The Netherlands)

  • Managed successful startups and brand extensions like SI for Kids, a multi-million dollar catalog business and others

Linda graduated from Rutgers College in New Brunswick, NJ with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Marketing and Communications.  She was an on-air reporter for WRSU-FM, the campus radio station, as well as reporter for The Rutgers Daily Targum and the Gamma Phi Beta national magazine (Crescent).   While interviewing the management at People magazine for a senior thesis, she accepted a job offer in the Consumer Marketing group.  Linda worked in Holland for two years as Assistant Circulation Director for Time International, marketing in local languages to countries in Europe and South Africa.

Linda is a member of Step Up Women's Network, NAFE (National Association of Female Exeuctives), the Stamford Chamber of Commerce, serves on the Business Resource Council and has been a DMA (Direct Marketing Association) panel speaker.  Linda speaks a small amount of Spanish and Japanese.
